Hi there,

I have started and deleted this sentence 10 times - so I’m just going to get to it: I have big news to share...

After 10 years, this will be the “last season” of Sh*t That I Knit.

If you’ve been around for a long time, you may have suspected something… I’ve gotten uncharacteristically quiet as I've worked to find a home for my first baby.

When I started STIK I was 25… a completely different person than the one I am today. I got a lot done in the past 10 years: met (and married) the love of my life, figured out how to mass-produce beanies  in Peru that were once knit by me and my mom, hired an AMAZING team in Boston, got into dream stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales, opened up pop-up shops, had a baby girl, survived the pandemic by selling thousands of knitting kits, launched a collection with Team USA for the Beijing Olympics, got featured on The TODAY Show, signed a licensing deal with the NFL (and started watching football), had another baby girl… the list is big and I could go on and on.

In between that highlight reel, there have been countless sleepless nights, huge mistakes, hail marys, and tons of “no’s”. It’s funny, because when I look back on the last 10 years I remember the hard stuff more than the fun stuff. Because that’s where I learned the most and grew the most.

Most brands don’t make it past the idea stage, let alone the first year. I am so proud of what we created - an incredible product, an authentic brand - but most of all, I’m proud of the community that grew out of Sh*t That I Knit. I love that this community sees STIK in the Wild and says, “I love your hat!,” I love that people stop me on the street and shout, “Hey, you’re 'shit'!,” I love the other entrepreneurs I’ve met along the way, and I love the team that worked alongside me for so many years. In the end, it’s all about the people, right?

Last year it became apparent to me that despite how much I love this first baby of mine, it needed a bigger home. One that could sustain it, grow it, and make it even better. It became my number one priority and I’m so proud to FINALLY share that we are moving our production to a brand I’ve admired for many years, Lele Sadoughi

We will have this “last season” through 2024 but you can continue to find our beanies, NFL collection, and a lot of newness over at Lele Sadoughi. As I took this step, it was incredibly important to me to keep our team of artisans employed. I am excited to share that I will be joining the Lele Sadoughi team to maintain that relationship and grow the cold weather assortment.

Follow along in the coming weeks as we dig up dirt from the STIK Archives and sell through our remaining inventory... Once it's gone, it's gone!! I also hope you’ll continue to stick around things evolve - the future is exciting and I’m so grateful that you've been here on this journey with me.

Love and XO!

Christina
