Adorable Gifts for Your Next Baby Shower

Did you know that more babies are typically born in July, August and September? We’ll leave it up to the imagination as to why that is, but for us - that means lots of babies to cuddle and lots of mamas to shower. We did a whole blog post about must-have baby items, but what about items that are just purely adorable? Perhaps they’re not super useful and they may get spit up on, but they’ll make for a really great photo and be passed down from one babe to the next. It’s all about memories as a new mom, and these gifts will help make those early days extra special!

Here are some (potentially) off-registry gifts to bring to your next baby shower!

1.   Damhorst Toys Personalized Name Stool, $84.95

There’s something so nostalgic about these stools - and the quality is impeccable. We have one that is being used as decor in Devon’s nursery, but I know it’ll eventually be used as a step stool for toothbrushing and hand-washing.

2.   Freshly Picked Newborn Moccasins, $45

A “First Pair” of Moccasins from Freshly Picked are the perfect blend of functionality, quality and keepsake. They’re handcrafted from natural leather so you know they’re as soft as can be!

3.   Sh*t That I Knit Lil Baby Layette, $150

Our 100% pima cotton Lil Baby Layette is the perfect gift for a new mom - it’s machine washable, can be monogrammed, and so sweet and cozy. Newborn babies need to keep their heads warm - even in the summer. Our Lil Baby Beanie is super soft and breathable, and the matching blanket is the perfect weight for stroller walks or couch cuddles (did I mention it’s machine washable??)

4.   Little Feminist Book Club Subscription, starting at $19/month

This subscription book service sends monthly age-appropriate books featuring under-represented identities in children’s literature. We love this concept - the team curates books that are anti-racist, body-positive, and trans & gender-fluid inclusive.

5.   Personalized LL Bean Boat and Tote, $44.95

I know, I know.... another bag - but this one doesn’t go out of style and will accompany the baby through all his or her milestones. We got one for Devon in size large, and it’s the perfect size for a weekend away - slightly bigger than her diaper bag, but not as ginormous as a full-on suitcase. And DURABLE. Highly recommend.

6.   Llama Plush Nursery Rocker, $189

This needs zero explanation - it’s just SO adorable. And we love llamas here at STIK ;)

7.   Joy Street Kids Footies, from $42

We loooove Boston-based baby clothing brand, Joy Street Kids. Their 100% pima cotton pajamas include custom drawn prints of cities and towns. Featuring famous landmarks in Boston, New York City, San Francisco, Nantucket and more, these are the perfect gift for parents who have a strong tie to a special place.

XO,
Meg
