December Monthly Faves

December Monthly Faves

Happy New Year!! We have made it to 2021 and we are so excited for what's in store this year. Since it's now January, we're taking a look back out our December monthly faves -- the last monthly faves of 2020. Most of our picks are in the theme of self-care and comfort, so you don't want to miss these! Take a look below to see what we are loving.

Christina: It’s official: I’m spending too much time in bed on my phone, but that’s exactly what we’re all doing… right?? For that reason, my monthly fave is the Native Lightning Phone charger from Nordstrom. I got it as a stocking stuffer for Alex and have attempted to steal it a handful of times (I think I’m going to buy my own right now)! A pet peeve of mine is how chargers fall off your bedside table or desk and then the roomba gets all tangled up in it… a real 2020 problem!! This one is not only extremely long, but it has this knot that slides along the cord that is heavy and keeps it on the table. It’s a simple luxury and I just love it!

Tory: The rumors are true - your belly gets bigger WAY faster with your second baby, which is why I’m so BEYOND happy to have these CRZ Yoga leggings from Amazon. I haven’t had to order any maternity pants yet, because I’ve been living in these, and to be honest, I don’t think I will ever buy a different pair of yoga pants/leggings ever again. They are soft like actual butter, they are not even close to see-through, and they are super bump-friendly. I already have 3 colors and will 100% be ordering more.

Meg: My favorite thing to do is take a daily walk with my daughter Devon. Something that’s making my walks way more enjoyable (and warm) are the 7AM Enfant Stroller Hand Muffs. Besides being ridiculously cozy, they velcro and hang right on your stroller so you can easily slide your hands in and out. Plus - I never have to worry about where my gloves are, or endure a cold walk with freezing fingers. They make an incredible gift for any mom who’s about to have a winter baby, and can be purchased practically anywhere (Nordstrom, Amazon, BuyBuy Baby,  Bed Bath & Beyond, Maisonette)!

Kismet My new obsession is homemade ramen. Since restaurants aren’t a great option right now and ramen doesn’t travel well, I bought some miso and got to work. My mom watched me eat ramen out of a cereal bowl several times, so she got me this adorable Crate & Barrel Noodle Bowl w/ Chopsticks. The chopsticks rest nicely in two cutout handles on either side of the bowl, very convenient for safely carrying your ramen from the kitchen to the couch :). I have the 11” version because there’s just something comforting about a bowl of ramen bigger than your head.

TessaI love to read but rarely do I find a new author that I can't get enough of AND proceed to read multiple books by said author in a row. I can't believe it's taken me this long to discover Taylor Jenkins Reid (have I been living under a rock??), but it's also amazing because it means I have multiple books on my horizon that I am 99% guaranteed to really enjoy. I checked off Daisy Jones & The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo in December, and am now onto One True Loves. I couldn't put down those first two - maybe because her female-led characters are super compelling and the stories somehow all blend romance, drama, scandal, and adventure. Highly recommend!

Sarah: This month I want to give some love to the facial moisturizer I’ve been using for the past year, Fresh Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer. For years I had been on the hunt for a moisturizer that would be heavy enough for dry skin in the winter and light enough for sun kissed skin and hot days in the summer. After using it for a year, I can safely say it’s a perfect weight all year long. Plus, it smells delicious and is so refreshing to apply that I actually look forward to putting it on each night and each morning.

Claudia: My latest fave has to go be these pants from Old Navy. They cross the fine line of being either a pajama pant and sweatpants, but you can definitely still run errands in them. They’re high waisted, have a soft lining, and just ridiculously comfortable. In these times of loungewear, these are a must to add to your current collection!

Peter S: This is an easy one for me. The absolute favorite thing I got this season were slippers from Shepherd of Sweden. They have a few really good options, but I went for the Hugo.  They are exactly what I wanted. The sheepskin is absolutely amazing!  I got my pair from the Westerlind website.  Fun fact, I think this is the first pair of slippers that I ever owned!
