STIK’s All-Star Summer Intern Lineup

STIK’s All-Star Summer Intern Lineup

As you all know, we have a very small team, so we rely heavily on the work of amazing interns to help us get sh*t done. This summer, we’re super lucky because we have, literally, the best intern lineup in all of Boston, maybe even the country.

We’re super excited to introduce three of them here today - Sarah, Kendall, and Molly. They all work in our Seaport pop-up (go visit them if you haven't already) and have all done a fantastic job keeping us in line. In addition to maintaining the store, they will also be writing content for our blog and helping with some other projects we have going on, so be on the lookout for more from each of them! So here they are - the STIK intern class of summer 2019!

Name: Sarah Fantasia
School: University of New Hampshire Class of 2022
Why did you want to work for Sh*t That I Knit? Aside from being a huge fan of the products, I wanted to work for STIK because I really loved the fact that it is a female-founded, female-run company. Also, I love how STIK is dedicated to using sustainable materials to create their products.
What do you like most about working in the Seaport? The seaport is absolutely gorgeous!! Everyone who comes in to shop is always so lively no matter the weather. It’s always nice to see people enjoying the pop-ups, especially when it’s a gorgeous day and people can stroll the area, plus it’s the best when they bring their dogs!!

Name: Molly Belyea
School: Elon University Class of 2021
Why did you want to work for Sh*t That I Knit? When I first learned about STIK I was absolutely amazed by Christina's ability to make such a large impact on so many people's lives. I felt like working for a company with a purpose behind it would be meaningful and could shift my perspective on the world. I wanted to be part of something where I felt like I mattered and that spreading the amazing message of the company would affect other people.
What do you like most about working in the Seaport? I love the restaurants around the area because all the food is unique and new to me! Working in the area is so fun because I get to explore new places before and after work, it's like a never-ending adventure. Two of my favorite restaurants are Committee and Tatte!

Name: Kendall Sargis
School: Babson College Class of 2022
Why did you want to work for Sh*t That I Knit? I wanted to work for Sh*t That I Knit because I love working for businesses run by women who have a true passion for what they do. I had been following STIK on Instagram for some time and knew that Christina loved what she did and made sure that everyone loved the products she had created. It was obvious that the company would be a great fit for me based on their dedication and passion.
What do you like most about working in the Seaport? I love how busy the Seaport gets! My favorite time of day is lunch time when the red tables outside our store are full of working professionals on their lunch break. It is always fun to people watch from the doorway!

So there you have it. Our first three interns of the summer! The exciting news is that we have two more starting in July! Keep your eye out for more about what our interns are up to this summer here on our blog, and on Instagram!
