Fabulous Female Fitness Instructors You Can Take at Home

Where I am location wise right now -- the gyms and workout studios are still closed. I’m not going to lie, I am getting a little bored of my typical running route. I usually love going to classes, but it’s been a long time since I have done that. Step in: virtual workout classes! I have started to do some Zoom workouts and streaming subscriptions to mix it up a little bit. Plus now that it’s nice outside I can take this to the grass and have more space to move around. Most brands below offer either a free class for first-time customers or free trials so you can test out what you like best. All the below companies are female-founded and these instructors are 100% badass.

Eliza Shirazi, founder of Kick it by Eliza is a fellow Boston based brand. She has taken her kickboxing inspired cardio classes to Zoom during the quarantine and is able to reach people from all over the world through the platform. Shirazi is the leader of her “Fempire” and also leads certificate training classes so anyone can become certified in the Kick it method. You are no doubt going to sweat a LOT in one of her classes.

Megan Roup founder of Sculpt Society isn’t messing around. Her celebrity clientele is probably a testament to that, but her workouts are incredible. She offers both dance cardio and sculpting workouts for you to stream at home. Before making the full commitment to her subscription you can test her workouts for 14-days.

Heather White founded Boston’s original Hip Hop inspired, fitness studio, Trillfit. There are many different classes you can take: from “sculpt” to “boxing boot camp” to “cardio dance.” There’s a class for everyone on her list and it doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or not. Sign up for one of her virtual classes on her site!

Gabby Muzzarelli has two incredible sculpting and barre Zoom classes she offers: “Body Lab” and “Barre(less).” I love the reminder on her site that weights can be anything -- like wine bottles or canned goods. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the proper equipment, anyone is able to participate using household items. She’ll host private sessions for a virtual birthday party!

Simone De La Rue, founder of, Body by Simone is another celebrity favorite trainer. She has a great range of workouts -- from sculpting to dance. She even has one that involves a mini-trampoline. I personally want to try the trampoline one… but need to get a trampoline first.

Melissa Wood, founder of Melissa Wood Health has three important “M’s” she follows: Mindful eating, meditation, and movement. She believes these three things will help guide you to the best version of yourself. Before committing, she offers a 7-day free trial to see what her method is all about.

XO,
Claudia
